I had my kitesurfing lessons at Kite Republic and I honestly can't recommend them highly enough. The instructors are exceptional — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in your progress. As a woman, I really appreciated having female instructors available. Kurt and Elena were exceptional! The team speaks multiple languages, which creates such an inclusive and welcoming environment. Safety is always the top priority. It's not just a school — it's a group of people who genuinely love the sport and support each other.

I visited Melbourne in Dec/Jan and signed up for progression lessons with Kite Republic. I had a fantastic experience. They were super flexible with timing because the Dec wind turned out to be unreliable. They managed to get me in for all of my lessons before heading back home to Canada. My instructor cleaned up a variety of my terrible habits in a relatively short time. The location is perfect for beginners: nice wide sandy beach. I highly recommend the school to anyone wanting to try the sport or step up their skills.

My wife and I had two winging lessons with Freddy at Kite Republic. We are middle aged beginners with both of us getting variable rides on foil in both directions. He has an easy going demeanor and read us well. Freddy found that perfect balance of letting us struggle a bit before providing spot on feedback. We felt much more confident with our stance and pumping technique. He also gave us a great intro to gybing. Thank you.

Had a really fun three-lesson kiteboarding course. I started with 0 experience and by the third lesson I was standing up and riding. The instruction was clear and easy to follow. KR was also super flexible when the wind was low — one lesson was shortened and another extended so I got maximum time on the water. Kurt, my instructor, was great to learn from. Now ready to buy a kite!
