We are just back from Aitutaki Winter escape kiting trip and it was truly one of the best trips we’ve had. The spot is... unbelievably beautiful, flat water, white sand, clear and bright turquoise water. You couldn’t hope for a better spot to make your progression. Chris and the KR team provided clinics and amazing coaching and there was extra gear to try on (foils, wing, etc). They also made every non windy day super special, with some of the best snorkeling I’ve had, and humpback whale swimming which is just the most magical experience. The trip was very well organised and went super smoothly, they also catered for my family which made it super special. We couldn’t have hoped for a better trip, especially coming out of 2 years of lockdown! Thank you Chris and the KR team!read more

It’s very difficult to have lesson during the weekend if you buy discounted voucher by other providers (Groupon), the... excuse was the weather but actually in February it was sunny and not so windy (considering that it was the first lesson..)...maybe easier during the week, if you don’t work...it would be better if you clearly say that by discounted voucher you can only have lesson between mon-frid when you have low attendance..at least we avoid to lose time and kiter can make an aware choice if buy or not...read more

I have been kiting for over 12 years. I just bought 2 x North Dice and a Jaime board while I was in Sydney from the US... on business. Given the very short trip, I had Sarah ship them directly to a hotel in Sydney. The quality of customer service was something I have never seen before from a kite store. Not only was KR aggressive on price, but they were also extremely knowledgeable about the product line and could provide highly informed advice. They also understood the very compressed time frame in which to get the kite shipped to Sydney before I left and jumped through hoops to ensure that happened. I would highly recommend starting your kite addiction with KR. They are head and shoulders above the rest of the kite... offerings along the beach. The hugest points of difference are all of the offerings once you're done with you initial lessons when you will feel a bit nervous hitting the water. They run regular ride days which put you in a great spot to develop your skills with some experienced instructors making sure you have that little extra help you need when you're just starting out. From there they have a whole community built around KR with monthly club nights, kite camps, destination get aways, advanced skills clinics - all giving you a chance to meet other riders and progress your riding. Not just a place to buy gear- highly recommend.read more

2015 Snow Kite tripWow! What a trip! A fantastic crew from KR who are more than willing to help out! If you kitesurf... this is a must do trip, especially if you also love the snow. All you need to worry about is if there is wind, KR provided lunch and organised lots of fun things to do. On the first couple of days we had low winds in the afternoon, so we just headed to the ski fields(after kiting in the mornings) and had a great time. Saturday dinner was also provided by KR and was a really tasty no fuss Bolognese, just what the doctor ordered! Also had a fantastic bunch of people on the trip, great to have a chat to, hope to see them all on the beach!There were a few people who have no kiting experience, and they were helped out by the KR crew, and seemed to have a great time. If it were me however I would head to KR and get your water lessons done and clock up a few hours on the water before this trip, but it would still be a great experience if you haven't kited before.Kiting on the snow was pretty much the same as on water, with a few extra interesting things like hills that you don't get with the water (kinda similar to wave riding).If you are wondering what snow kiting is like this trip is the way to go. It is definitely the safest way to try it out!read more

I have recently returned from the Aitutaki winter Escape 2015 and had the best time! It was an awesome group of people... to kite, travel and party with. The progression that I had on this trip was the best I have had in years, and I owe it all the great staff who were motivating and pushing me every step of the way. The daily clinics were a big help run by Chris Sal and Ewan Jaspan. I think we got 8 days in a row out on the water. I have travelled the world and kited many amazing locations but I have to say this was by far the best location I have ever been, flat, crystal blue waters, white sandy beaches, palm trees and WIND plenty of wind. I would highly recommend this trip next year to anyone looking for an amazing kite holiday. I will definitely be returning on a yearly basis.Thanks for the great times KRread more

The energy and passion from Kite Republic and Chris in particular is outstanding. With his enthusiasm and clear... instruction it is near impossible to not progress your kitesurfing skills. We got a bit unlucky with the wind on a recent trip to Fiji and only managed to get out for 3 sessions, but even so my riding still progressed and I had a lot of fun in the process. With the lack of wind Kite Republic were very good at making sure there were other activities to do including wakeboarding, SUPs, snorkelling, coconut tree climbing races, fishing, village trips, bonfires, morning yoga - if it was possible we did it. This was my second winter escape with KR and hopefully I'll be joining them again next year.read more

Fiji Winter Escape 14Fiji was an unforgettable place to go kiting, warm water, stunning islands and friendly people.... As a beginner the morning theory sessions along with the tips and encouragement in the water meant that I made some real progression in the week, I certainly wouldn't have been trying toe side and carve turns without your encouragement!
