These terms comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and apply to all transactions with Kite Republic (referred to as “KR”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Returns & Exchange Policy

We want you to shop with confidence. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item (at your expense) within 14 days of purchase for a store credit.

Conditions:

• Items must be in new, unused condition, in original packaging, with all tags and accessories included.

• Returns must be accompanied by a proof of purchase.

• A 10% restocking fee may apply.

• Store credits are valid for 12 months from the issue date.

Exclusions:

• No returns or exchanges for clearance, customised, or used items, unless faulty.

• Products deemed used, damaged, or incomplete may not be accepted for return.

This policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which entitles you to a refund or replacement in the case of a major product failure or if a product is not as described.

Incorrect Pricing Disclaimer

While we strive to ensure all prices are accurate, errors may occur. If a product has been incorrectly priced, we reserve the right to cancel the order or contact you to confirm the correct price before processing.

Terms of Sale & Product Use

• All warranty claims are handled according to the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty conditions.

• Warranties do not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, accidents, unauthorised repairs, or lack of maintenance.

• Products must be used safely and responsibly. Kiteboarding, wing foiling, and foiling carry inherent risks. Always use appropriate safety equipment and seek professional instruction if unsure.

Kite Republic is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to property arising from use of products sold.

Backorders & Special Orders

In some cases, we may offer products by order only or on backorder. If a product is not currently in stock:

• We’ll notify you of the expected delivery timeframe (ETA) after purchase.

• If the ETA is not suitable, you may cancel the order for a full refund.

• Stock may be shipped from within Australia or internationally.

• Some larger or specialised items may have longer shipping times.

We are committed to keeping you informed and delivering your order as quickly as possible.

Lessons & Club Bookings – Cancellation / Raincheck Policy

• Lessons must be paid in full at the time of booking. All lesson purchases are non-refundable.

• Lessons are transferable to another person, but not exchangeable for store credit.

• Lessons must be completed within 12 months from the date of purchase.

Cancellations or no-shows:

• You must provide notice by 3:00 PM the day before your scheduled lesson or club event to reschedule without penalty.

• Failure to provide sufficient notice or to attend a booking will result in the session time being forfeited.

• Late arrivals will result in lesson time being reduced accordingly.

Weather-related cancellations:

• Lessons may be postponed due to unsafe or unsuitable weather conditions.

• If KR cancels a lesson, it will be rescheduled to the next available time. We’ll aim to give you as much notice as possible but weather can change quickly.

We recommend beginning your lesson package within 9 months of purchase and allowing time for flexible scheduling. Group lessons require at least two participants of similar skill level and are best scheduled between November and March.

Lay-By Agreements

KR offers lay-by options with the following terms:

• Lay-by period is limited to 3 months.

• Ownership remains with KR until final payment is received.

• If no payment is received within the lay-by period:

  • KR will attempt to contact the purchaser.

  • If no response is received within 7 days, the lay-by will be cancelled, the goods returned to stock, and monies forfeited.

Shipping Terms

Domestic Shipping (Australia)

• Free shipping on most orders over $499 to metro and major regional areas.

• Oversized items, paddleboards, or deliveries to remote or island locations may incur additional charges.

• Orders are shipped via StarTrack or other reputable couriers. Tracking is provided with every order.

International Shipping

• KR ships internationally via UPS.

• Delivery timeframes: approx. 10–15 business days after payment.

• Import duties, customs charges, and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

• If international delivery is refused due to customs fees, a refund will be issued minus all shipping and return costs.

Privacy & Security

KR does not store financial information and uses secure payment gateways for all transactions.

Legal Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
