At Kite Republic, we offer professional repairs for your kites, wings, and accessories. Whether it’s a minor tear or a major issue, we’ve got you covered with a range of repair services. Please make sure to fill out the repair form and include it with your item when dropping it off or sending it in for repair.
How to Submit a Repair:
Fill out the repair form.
Clearly mark your item with your name, email, and phone number — the best place to do this on kites and wings is in the kite bag label pocket.

Repair Pricing
(Note: The prices below are approximate, and we can’t provide an exact cost until we assess the item.)
Minimum repair price: $50
Wet/Sandy items: Items supplied wet or sandy will incur an additional $50 drying/cleaning fee.
Tangled Lines: If bar and lines are supplied with tangled lines, there will be an additional $50 untangling fee.
Typical Turnaround Time: 3-7 days (longer if we have a high volume of repairs, if the repair is complex, or if additional parts are required).
Types of Repairs & Approximate Costs
Canopy or Frame Repairs:
Patching small holes or tears (no sewing required): Min charge $50 (DIY patch kits available)
Small rips (up to 1 metre): From $80
Large or multiple rips: From $120
Rips in/near the Leading Edge: From $80
Exploded Leading Edge or Strut: From $120 (not including bladder repair/replacement)
Re-sew loose stitching: From $50
Bladder Repairs:
Re-glue or replace universal valve: Min charge $50 (DIY kits available)
Multiple valve repairs: From $70 (for 2 valves), plus valves cost
Replace brand-specific valve: $50 plus valve cost
Slow leak in Strut bladder: From $50
Slow leak in Leading Edge bladder: From $80
Fast/obvious bladder leak repairs: From $50 (DIY options available)
Replacing unrepairable Strut bladders: From $50 plus bladder cost
Replacing unrepairable Leading Edge bladders: From $50 plus bladder cost varying between $150 and $300
Bar & Line Repairs:
Replace trim/depower rope: $50 plus depower rope cost
Replace small parts (e.g., safety line): From $50
Check & trim bar (for line length adjustments): Free for KR Club members, otherwise min charge $50
Snapped front line (one front line or both): New pair $150-$300, depending on brand/length
Snapped back line (one back line or both): New pair $150-$300, depending on brand/length
Snapped front and back line (any combination): New line set $300-$530, depending on brand/length
