Another super fun camp weekend with an awesome mix of members and a fun mix of kiting, clinics, games and entertaining moments.

Sandy Point didn’t exactly turn on the 30 degrees that we were all hoping for, however between the fleeting rain showers that came through for 5-10 minutes every hour on Saturday we were treated to some fun kiting conditions and we well and truly made the most of what was on offer.

Clinics catering to each individual to kick thi2angs off gave everyone a good plan of what they were looking to accomplish throughout the weekend and these were boosted up with follow up clinics as we went along.

It was awesome to see that even with the somewhat varying conditions thrown at us throughout the two days, that everyone was out there giving their new skills and ideas a red hot go. Very happy to see the huge progressions and so many people ticking new skills off their wishlist.

3Sunday again had some pretty solid patches of rain, however we also had hours and hours of fantastic kiting through the late morning and early arvo to make the most of the final hours in Sandy Point.

Combined with some great cooking from Nick and his kitchen team of Ras & co helping out, some great laughs around the fire, the always entertaining Kubb and Loopin’ Louie as well as some intense darts action it was an outstanding weekend.

Some of the highlights definitely include…

Susann nailing frontrolls, Shane cracking the raley mystery, Andy going next level on his boo1ast timing, Ras leaving with a good understanding on how those already large boosts are going to get to next level status, Alex nailed upwind, great to see Dave back out there nailing some of the old tricks again, Dennis going close on the raley to blinds, Robert nailing backroll transitions, Neil stepping it up massively since January’s camp, Phil getting some seriously bright boot action going on, Carlo & Eddy with some huge gains in kite control and oh so close to good solid rides now, Aitor was nailing a much more solid edge that will lead to far better progression with load and pop tricks now, Karen was clearly loving her new Jaime pro and nailing upwind with ease, Chappy was super close to back to toesides, Graham was on full confidence mode and ripping around the place, Ray was up and going for his best rides to date, Vishal also was making some great boardstarts, Steve had some solid starts but mistimed the wind a little while Anna was tearing around the place and getting that confidence back after nearly 6 months off the water.

Big thanks to Nick, Simon, Luke & Brandie for their awesome help over the two days.
