Trivia Night & Kiteboard For Life Australia Charity Raffle Wrap

3A massive thank you to everyone that made it along to support the Annual KR Trivia Night & Charity Raffle. It was outstanding to once again crack through the 100 mark with just shy of 120 participants this year.

Kiteboard For Life Australia (KFLA) was the charity that our raffle was supporting and although the night was all about fun, a social night out, and being social it was outstanding to se the respect and interest of the crowd when KFLA founder Nik Shepheard took the stage in a bid to raise awareness about Depression & Suicide prevention in the community. Follow Nik’s journey through the Kiteboard For Life Australia website.

We were incredibly lucky to have such great sponsors for this event which allowed us to give away over $2000 worth of prizes. Our awesome sponsors were… North Kiteboarding, Naish Kiteboarding, Kahuna Creations, Sport Phillip Marine, Republica & Carve Sunglasses.

2bOf the 14 teams competing it was fierce competition with very little between them at the pointy end… and a little more between others 😉

In the end it was “Table 11” that took line honours by a single point, led by the God of Thunder himself. They narrowly edged out “MKHT9” and “SUP it up princess” by a single point. A huge congratulations must got to everyone that got involved as well of course as our Quizmaster, Adam Trumble for putting together a great mix of questions to keep everyone on their toes.

In the KFLA Charity Raffle the winners were:

1st: Sofia Carreno, who took home an awesome North WAM Kiteboard

7b2nd: Nathan Bridges, who took home a Kahuna Creations Beach Cruiser Longboard

3rd: Phil McArdle, who took home the awesome Boca Deluxe Fishing Reel & Harness Safety Knife from Sport Phillip Marine

4th: Damien Lee, who took home the Republica Sunday Roast for 2

5th: Russell McCoy, who took home the NKB/KR Prize Pack

Thankyou very much to everyone that made it along, and best of luck to Kiteboard For Life Australia as they prepare for their epic journey ahead and continue to raise awareness about Depression & Suicide Prevention.
