Big airs, wild winds and massive progressions.

WOW… that just about sums it up!

35’ish knots for 6 hours straight on Saturday was definitely a fiery way to kick things off. Heaps of questions and theory sorted out to start the day followed by every single small kite we had getting a very good workout in some epic Sandy Point conditions through the afternoon.

Notably the stack of the day went to Alex R for his epic backroll kiteloop to face… progression of the day went to Vanessa for not only handling the epic conditions on hand, but for taming them, locking her upwind and edging right in and for the absolute stoked smile she left the water with.

With big smiles, windblown hair and tired bodies we made our way to the kitchen for a Chef Nick & team prepared meal. Fish Curry packets and all the trimmings.

A great night was had by all before Sunday turned on a consistent 20-22 knots from the crack of dawn right through until 5pm when we got off the water.

With ideal flat water, great tides through the middle of the day and glassy flat water if was an ideal opportunity for everyone to improve and add a few new tricks to their quivers.

Big congratulations to everyone that made it along. From first time standing up at the start of the weekend progressing to toeside and carving along, to first time transition jumps turning into backroll transitions and some awesome darkslide attempts.

It was a great weekend and we appreciate everyone’s willingness to learn and give everything a go.

Massive thanks from Chris, Nick, Thor and the Team, you guys were awesome!
