The top half of a complete Surf Shield kit. The ION Surf Shield Rashguard Longsleeve provides Level 4 cut protection to EN388:2016 across the arms, torso, and upper body — areas that make frequent contact with foil masts, fins, and board rails during wipeouts and duck dives.

The slim fit works as a standalone piece or as a base layer under a wetsuit. A slip loop at the hem connects to your shorts, keeping the rashguard locked in place in the water. Combined with the Surf Shield Tights Long or Boardshorts, it provides head-to-toe protection from fin and foil lacerations.

HPPE (High Performance Polyethylene) has an extremely high tensile strength relative to its weight — in fabric form, it creates a barrier that resists cutting forces well beyond standard lycra or neoprene. The slim cut is designed to stay close to the body under a wetsuit without bunching, and the slip loop prevents the top from riding up during aggressive water movements.
