Construction
The Sneaker pads are built around a contoured EVA foam core โ the same material class used in performance running shoes โ shaped to support the arch and forefoot through the repeated impact of kite landings. The top layer is textured with Harlem’s signature windmill pattern, which provides directional grip whether your feet are wet or dry. The Velcro strap system uses reinforced webbing anchored at multiple points along the pad, distributing load evenly and preventing localised pressure hotspots during aggressive riding.
Why We Recommend It
Most stock pads that come with boards are an afterthought. The Sneakers are designed as a standalone product and it shows โ they’re softer, better shaped and adjust more precisely than the cheap pads bundled with entry-level boards. If you’re riding a Harlem Ascent or any performance twintip and want your feet to feel like they belong on the board, these are a straightforward upgrade at $399. They’re also a smart pick if you’re setting up a second board or replacing worn-out pads on an older deck.
