Carved Imperator Pro
The Carved Imperator Pro is the culmination of 24 years of German carbon engineering โ a handcrafted big air and freestyle twintip that doesn’t just evolve the Imperator line, it redefines it. Every surface, from the precision-milled 3D deck contours to the hydrodynamic bottom channels, is engineered to maximise load, launch and control. The result is a board that pops harder, tracks cleaner and lands smoother than anything CARVED has made before.
Built on a Paulownia wood core and hand-wrapped in next-generation Cartan 2 carbon, then vacuum-infused to remove excess resin weight, the Imperator Pro achieves a balance of stiffness and liveliness that’s difficult to describe and immediately apparent underfoot. It’s slightly stiffer than the Imperator 7 โ deliberately so โ with the extra rigidity dialled in specifically to increase rebound energy and launch height without sacrificing edge grip or landing forgiveness.
Available in four sizes from 134ร41cm to 140ร42.5cm, with EQ Pro fins, grab handle, board sleeve and fin screws included. Pairs perfectly with the Carved Ultra 2 pads and straps.

Construction
CARVED’s manufacturing process begins with a Paulownia wood core โ a timber selected for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and natural vibration damping, which contributes to the board’s lively, responsive feel without introducing harshness on choppy water. The core is precision-milled using CNC equipment to create 3D contours on both the deck and the base, establishing the exact flex zones and hydrodynamic geometry before any carbon is applied. The Cartan 2 carbon is then hand-laid around the core using a wrap technique that ensures continuous fibre alignment through the rails, and the whole assembly is vacuum-infused to remove excess resin โ the result is a stiffer, lighter laminate with no voids or inconsistencies across the board’s surface. The 3D bottom channels are moulded into the base during this process, not routed in afterwards, ensuring structural integrity at the channel edges where loading forces are highest.
Why We Recommend It
The Imperator Pro is for riders who have already mastered big air and want a board that keeps up with their ambition. If you’re regularly boosting 10m+, working on your megaloop progression or competing in big air events, the Pro’s extra stiffness and refined carbon construction will translate directly into more height and more pop than a standard performance board. At $3,799 it’s a serious investment, but this is world-class hardware handmade in Germany with 24 years of refinement behind it. The 136 is our most popular size and suits most riders in the 75โ90kg range; go 138 or 140 if you’re heavier or want more float in lighter wind.
