WOW, a massive thankyou to the 103 people that made it along and supported what turned out to be a fantastic night. It was an awesome and fun energy throughout the room right from the get-go and it was an absolute pleasure to catch up with everyone and to see you all getting involved and giving it a red hot go for a great cause!

Firstly, to our sponsors… you are AWESOME! Thankyou so much for supporting us for this years event. Our major prize sponsor this year was Red Paddle Co. with an awesome Red Paddle Co. Ride Board & Paddle package valued at $1800. We strongly recommend checking out their boards if you’re in the market for an inflatable SUP, they’ve won pretty much every award their is and are shaping the market in a huge way in this area.

Supporting us for the 6th year in a row in this event were North Kiteboarding (now Duotone), ION, Fanatic, Naish & Republica St Kilda Beach. Along with the legends at Carve Eyewear it was a really well rounded prize pool. Thankyou so much guys. Was great to have Kiteboarding Australia supporting the event this year with the raffle giving away a pair of Malee Bull Eyewear… congrats to Max Reynolds for taking the win here.

To the night itself… it was tight going at the top of the leader board with 3 teams tied coming into the final round. In the end it was ‘King of the Duotone’ that took the win from ‘Kite Fondlers’ and Ninja Turtles. Congratulations.

There were plenty of smiles as the raffle winners came up to collect through the night, in the end the major prize had a little curve ball thrown in… 4 tickets, 1 winner, to be decided by sudden death Loopin Louie. Massive congratulations to Saul Irwin who took home the Red Paddle Co Ride Board and Paddle Package. We weren’t sure if he was more stoked about winning the awesome new swag or actually taking out a game of Loopin Louie. Either way, it made that 2 hour drive from Ocean Grove well worth it we hope 😉

Finally, and very importantly we couldn’t have made the night happen without the awesome help and support of the crew that made it happen. Big thankyou to Adam Trumble, and awesome selection of trivia for the night and very well presented and managed, thankyou. To Republica St Kilda Beach, you obviously have the best waterfront bar and restaurant going around, and the staff for the night were an exceptional mix of professional and fun yet again, thankyou. To Nik and the Kiteboard for Life Australia Crew, thankyou for coming along and getting involved, we are very proud to be supporting such a great charity. And finally, to the awesome KRew that helped keep everything running smoothly on the night, couldn’t have done it without you. Thankyou Cesar, Carlos, Adriana, Radka (great pics), Sofia and Kurt, you guys were awesome, thankyou.

We hope you have a great winter on the water, if you haven’t finalized your travel destinations yet get in quick and join us in Aitutaki, Brazil, or Snowkiting in the coming couple of months. More info HERE.
