As always we were stoked to welcome the many new faces at KR CLUB Social Night. Some of these included Amanda, Alison, Jerro, Simon, Flynn, Caitlan, Lucy, Seb, Chris, Dan, Til & Tina. Looking forward to spending more time with you all on the water in the weeks ahead!
After a month that saw an awesome Marlo Long Weekend camp (& the end of the old KR Van), the IKO Instructor Training Course (& Assistant Course a week or two before), a great Altona Ride Day with Glenn, Thomas & Nick, and plenty of Easter kiting stories, it was great to hear everybody’s takes and hear their stories as they recollected a great month on the water.
It was great to welcome the Kiteboard For Life Crew of Nik, Simon, Chris and Jerro as they continue to gain momentum and get closer to setting off for their epic kite board around mainland Australia to raise awareness for Depression and Suicide. Thankyou for joining us and we look forward to hearing more as we go forwards.
The the awards this month, there were plenty of fantastic wipeouts going on, but none better than Mr John Attards destruction in the waves at Cape Conron. Serious commitment shown there!
Tam Baxter was the other award recipient for her ‘Putting Up with the Blokes Award’ during the recent IKO Instructor Training Course. Great job though out the week Tam, as well as the 7 other guys that took part and are now Qualified Instructors.
Looking forward to seeing you all next month on May 5th for Club Night and we hope you can join us for the ‘Katie Potter Girls Session, Clinic & BBQ’ this Saturday, April 11th, the Ride Day on the 18th, as well as the Kiteboarding Victoria Awards Night on May 1st.
See you on the water soon!
