Aussie sensation Andy Yates (Slingshot), continued his great form on the world tour finishing 4th in Morocco. He was narrowly edged out by current world champion Kevin Langeree, and vice world champion Youri Zoon. The Dutch wonder kids also took 3rd and 4th in the wave event in Morocco.

Andy Yates (Slingshot, AUS) jumped his way through his first two heats today eliminating Tom Hebert (Airush, NCL) as well as Michael Schitzhofer (JN Kites, AUT). Yates defeated Schitzhofer in a very close heat, however Yates had cleaner execution and a powered switch slim. Yates moves on to compete against Alberto Rondina (Cabrinha, ITA). Rondina put an end to Yates’ winning streak and moves on to the semi final against Youri Zoon (Slingshot, NED). Everyone on the beach thought that Rondina would be the winner of this heat for sure because of his extremely clean landings, his style and variety of tricks however, Zoon defeats Rondina in a 2-1-judges decision. Zoon moved on to the final against fellow Dutchmen Kevin Langeree (Naish, NED). Langeree manages to pull off more technical tricks than Zoon, which will earn him the Essaouira event title.
